Employee handbook

I was tasked to create a handbook which would be sent to all new employees the week before their start date. Somo was undergoing a rapid period of growth whereby the co-founders wanted to ensure even before people joined Somo they were excited and had a good understanding of the culture and values. I had a totally open brief with regards to creativity but an objective to ensure the handbook was fun, engaging and would help not just foster a stronger more positive culture but communicate policies and ways of working to new starters.

The handbook was very well received with the HR team frequently receiving complementary and favourable feedback from new starters with many saying ‘the handbook put my mind at ease before joining’ and ‘it’s become my go-to resource for checking things such as pay day and how to access training and development’.
